"Almost everyone knows us from camera masts and green lights on construction sites," says Rob Koster, Director of Sales at BauWatch. "But we also offer fire protection systems and other solutions for a safe working environment. We are constantly looking for innovative total solutions. We like to inform visitors about this during the Infra Relatiedagen. Especially now that we observe various trends. Among other things, we see an increasing need for the security of solar parks and contracting companies."
BauWatch was founded more than 15 years ago as a specialist in temporary security. The company grew rapidly, enabling it to integrate the entire chain of security solutions in 2016, including software, hardware, its own control room and live registration. "Because we were the first to enter this market, we have now gained broad experience and our relationship with key parties such as the police has been greatly strengthened. This makes us a reliable partner for our customers to secure their location and/or object through temporary cameras."
BauWatch is the market leader in northwestern Europe with branches in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, France and the Netherlands. This year, branches in Spain, Italy, Austria and Poland were added. Asked about the reason for this huge success, Rob replies, "We notice that companies are looking for security and a reliable partner. This is guaranteed by aspects such as 24/7 accessibility, our own control room and the highest quality marks. But the complete worry-free service we offer certainly also plays a major role. Moreover, this fits in with our observation that more and more organizations are engaging our security services not only because of a possible loss of revenue. Downtime of a project and the time-consuming administrative settlement of theft and vandalism are also weighty reasons."
"We are called in for seasonal security, among other things. For example, vacations are a high-risk period for sports clubs, community centers and schools. We also see an increasing demand for the security of solar parks. Existing parks, but certainly also those that are still under construction, are very attractive to thieves. Contractor companies are also increasingly having their vehicle fleets secured. We are also doing some pilots with drones to investigate the extent to which they can strengthen our security."
A good example of the complete relief BauWatch provides is the Safety Check-in. "Contractors want to ensure that all workers enter their construction site well prepared. On the one hand because of the responsibility for their safety, on the other hand because of laws and regulations. With the Safety Check-in, workers follow safety instructions and project introductions online. This is possible in several languages. Optionally, a knowledge test can be taken to ensure that all workers have properly understood the instructions."
