People don't immediately associate plastic with sustainability. However, practice shows that specially developed materials can drastically extend the service life of building components and technical products.
Innodeen has been a leader in the development and manufacture of new materials and smart products for more than 30 years. Innodeen has four material groups: Hollodeen, Durodeen, Compodeen, and Eelodeen. Each material has its own specific properties and added value, enabling solutions to be created for a wide range of issues. The most recent development is Compodeen WFC (Wood Fiber Composite). Products are manufactured using a proprietary compound consisting of 72% recycled A-grade wood fiber and 28% post-consumer waste PP. This means that they are made entirely from 100% recycled material and can be completely reused without any loss of quality. Applications can be found in a wide range of industries. “Thanks to the patented process, the wood fibers are positioned lengthwise. Together with the high density, this gives the material a very high strength.”
We find products as running boards for trains, facade cladding, decking or as a building system consisting of hollow wall elements. With this, for example, the Guiuan emergency hospital in the Philippines was realized," says Beverborg. "But thanks to its weather resistance, it is also very suitable as over shoring, soundproof walls and fencing."
