The markings on the helipad of a building in Utrecht were badly outdated, insufficiently visible and therefore in need of renewal. The concrete base consists of cast-in-place concrete. It had to be repaired in several places and then protected by a finish. The client's wish was for a wear- and color-resistant system with fast curing, so that the system would be quickly accessible to users again.
Triflex offers several solutions for helicopter platforms. The systems provide a durable, solid base. The platform can be finished with Triflex's durable products in the desired colors and with the necessary anti-slip. In this way, the trauma helicopter can easily find the platform and then land here safely.
SealteQ West took care of the floors. A durable and wear-resistant cast flooring system was chosen that was specially designed for decks with high traffic loads. It protects the structure and its non-slip effect increases the safety of users. In addition, the desired look can be created with the system because of the many color variations available. The system has a robust wear layer with a coarse scattering, so the deck can easily handle the mechanical loads of a helicopter. The system is colorfast, even with years of weathering. As a result, the markings always remain visible to helicopters. The end result is a wear- and color-resistant helicopter deck that will last for years to come. The striking clean lines, colors and patterns really stand out, making the markings highly visible to users again.
