Engcons hoseless module system and highflow swivel are ready for series delivery

- For a lighter, more service-friendly swivel head and higher flow rates

In spring 2018, engcon, world market leader in rotary tilters, showed a prototype of a module construction in which the automatic oil coupling system EC-Oil and the hydraulic connections for the grapple cassette GRD and sweeper roller SWD can be retrofitted without hoses. Now engcon announces it is moving to series production of this unique module construction.

The hoseless design provides superior simplicity and leak-free quick changeover. Retrofit of the EC-Oil becomes extremely easy, as the blocks can be bolted on without pulling hoses. It also makes hose-free initial installation and retrofit of couplings for engcons gripper cassette GRD and sweeper roller SWD very easy.

New highflow swivel
In parallel with the development of the new modular quick coupler, engcon has developed a new highflow swivel. This enables hydraulic flow of up to 200 l/min and 350 bar by feeding the hydraulic function "directly" instead of through the valves of the swivel. This new high-flow swivel also has a separate leakage oil channel, which allows leakage oil to be directed through the swivel head. In addition, engcon's new swivel is constructed for pressures up to 350 bar.

"This development is part of our unique modular system, where the customer can easily add additional functions afterwards. It also prevents leaking hoses in the quick coupler," says Fredrik Jonsson, head of development at engcon Group.

Serial delivery 2019
Series delivery of the modular quick couplers in QS60 formats for the EC214 and EC219 will be available in the Nordic market from January 2019 and in other markets from May 2019.

Series delivery of the QS70 for the EC233 will be available in the Nordic market from January 2019 and in other markets from July 2019.

Series delivery of the QS70 for the EC226 will be available in the Nordic market from March 2019 and in other markets from October 2019.
