From a relatively small outdoor production of concrete slabs to several fully covered
production halls with a huge production capacity. Zwaagstra Beton BV went through that development in recent years. Zwaagstra Beton is a specialist in manufacturing concrete products for various purposes. Think of concrete slabs, retaining walls and gutters.

At the helm of this family business are father and son Zwaagstra. The entire team consists of about 45 people. André Veerkamp, field sales at Zwaagstra Concrete, says that by thinking and developing with him, the production team has had a huge part in this growth. "The company still runs on the concrete slab that it once started with. We offer these concrete slabs in various sizes in gigantic quantities and in all kinds of structures and reinforcement variations. The uses of the concrete slab have increased tremendously. We have also begun to broaden in the types of concrete products. For example, we make retaining walls, line drainage channels and project-specific custom solutions."

Custom solutions

Veerkamp mentions some of the many specials manufactured by the company: "Piles, guide walls of deep-wall tunnels, foundation plates for solar parks, if it has to be made of concrete, we can make it! We really are that pure production company, though: we don't employ work planners or project managers but are the ideal partner who taps into what the customer has already thought up. We carry that out in the best quality concrete."

Quality, guarantees

"Last spring a completely new production hall was put into operation, along with a new concrete plant with which we manufacture retaining walls, gutters and the like. A concrete technologist monitors quality and develops new recipes. Many of our products have the KOMO quality mark. Sustainability obviously also plays a major role. Part of the gravel is already an eco-granulate (recycled product with certificate)."
