That is the vision of engcon, a company from northern Sweden. It started small, with one man and his passion to fundamentally change the world of digging: Stig Engström. Under his leadership, engcon developed the industry-leading engcon rotary attachment and in more than 30 years has grown into an independent manufacturer and market leader of advanced excavator attachments with a significant influence on the overall market.
"The fledgling idea of then, to change the world of digging, continues unabated," experiences Mark Lisman of engcon. Lisman has been the new Country Manager for Benelux since October 1, 2021. "Engcon really looks at what the market needs and thinks about what solutions can help GW entrepreneurs move forward," says Lisman.
"To optimize work for the end users of our products and make them easier, safer and more sustainable, it is crucial that we are close to the end customer. It is important to know what is going on, what people are up against and how we can think along with them. What drives us is honesty, transparency and service. In addition to our high-quality products, that is what we want and can offer our customers."
"With the skilled people we have, an office in Veenendaal, a large stock and a new spare parts webshop, one can count on local service: fast switching, short lines and personal contact. There are few tiltrotator manufacturers who have a branch that is represented in this way," Lisman knows. He is positively surprised by the way customers talk about engcon. "Especially the end users who work with our products know that the quality of the products, good service and excellent knowledge contribute to an efficient, safe and ergonomic way of working."
"The fact that engcon has such a strong position in the Dutch market and the customers are behind our products and service is the basis for wanting to roll out further into the Belgian market now. We want to enthuse people there and show them what can make the difference. We are going to make them more aware of what a rotary attachment can do, that there are so many more applications than just road construction. One way we will do this is through demo days, where people can experience purely without obligation the added value of our product at work." Engcon is going to use local people with experience and bring the structured work in the Netherlands into the process. "We will inform and train dealers better so that they become even more familiar with our products. We know where our strengths lie and are ready to take on that growth with the same service and commitment," he concludes.
