BMWT-Keur also continues to grow substantially in corona year'

Thanks to the sector protocol 'Working safely together', the inspections of mobile work equipment and warehouse racks could continue even after the coronavirus outbreak. This helped thousands of people in the vital and all other sectors to continue working efficiently and safely.

A total of as many as 350,605 inspections were conducted in 2020. That is considerably more than the 328,188 inspections in 2019. Special sector protocol

Safety inspections were carried out with the necessary precautions. When the virus raged in the spring of 2020, BMWT responded by drafting the sector protocol "Working safely together.

This protocol describes what BMWT inspectors can do to protect everyone involved as much as possible from infection and the consequences of the coronavirus during their work. Examples include making arrangements for the location of the inspection and cleaning work equipment with alcohol prior to and after the inspection.

Naturally, the inspectors follow RIVM guidelines, such as washing hands for 20 seconds, keeping a distance of one and a half meters and wearing mouth caps during movements. The protocol will remain in effect until the virus is spent and the government abolishes corona measures.
