Gebroeders Geens opens doors for anniversary
In 1989, Frans and Marcel Geens introduced the Rollmops, an innovative transport machine developed at the request of a local paving contractor. This maneuverable machine has since become indispensable in Belgian paving and marks the beginning of Gebroeders Geens.
In 1997, the need for a larger and more powerful machine arises, leading to the development of the Knikmops. This multi-purpose articulated loader attracts the attention not only of pavers, but also of landscapers, construction companies and farmers....
The family business continues to grow; from an enterprise of two brothers to a manufacturing company with more than 60 employees. The second generation is now also actively involved in day-to-day operations, from development to sales. Together, the two generations set the course for the future. In addition to the Belgian and Dutch markets, Gebroeders Geens now exports to Poland, France, Germany, Austria, Denmark and the USA, among others.
Gebroeders Geens remains true to its Belgian roots. In Hoogstraten, the plates are delivered to one side of the gate and the finished machines leave the premises on the other side. The family business carries out as much work as possible itself, from cutting and welding to assembly of components, all under one roof.
Innovation and improvement are central at Gebroeders Geens, both in their production hall and in their products. The many attachments, options and extras with which customers can fully equip their Knikmops according to their wishes are all conceived and made ready for production in Hinnenboomstraat. The R&D department is located close to production, which enables direct communication and follow-up of special customer wishes.
In recent years, Gebroeders Geens has further expanded its product range with more attachments to meet the specific needs of users. In 35 years, the mission has remained unchanged: to develop reliable articulated loaders and transport machines that make heavy (outdoor) work easier and profitable. User-friendliness is paramount; the machines are qualitative, robust, light and agile.
Gebroeders Geens develops and produces reliable and multifunctional machines that are easy to operate and maintain. With an extensive range of hydraulically driven attachments, these machines can be used for almost any job.
Since 2020, Gebroeders Geens has also offered an electric Knikmops, with the introduction of the Knikmops KM 100 E coming soon.
In the near future, Gebroeders Geens is planning an expansion of the production hall. At the end of this year, they hope to put the first spade in the ground.
On Saturday, October 12, 2024 Gebroeders Geens will open its doors to the public. Visitors can tour the production halls, see the Knikmops in action and discover the company's future plans. Everyone is welcome to experience the latest developments up close.
