Terrastab - Ground stabilizations that make a difference
Stabilizing terrains and roads is an art in itself. A challenge that requires both technical knowledge and executive creativity. Terrastab has realized significant projects in this respect.
For each project, we test the possibilities through a preliminary study, where different compositions are tested. This is how we arrive at the most economically and socially responsible solution.
Road renovations in a sustainable manner
By developing low CO2 binders, Terrastab is able to renovate roads sustainably. The bearing capacity of the road is thereby matched to the function of the road. A stabilized soil layer is very strong and has a lifespan approximately 30% longer than a traditional foundation made of, for example, rubble granules. By carrying out the stabilization properly, no shrinkage cracks occur in the top layer. There is also no root pressure or frost damage since the foundation layer does not absorb water. Finally, the environmental impact is also reduced, since the existing soil is processed in situ. This reduces the number of transport movements and the lead time is shorter. A nice added benefit is that approximately 25% can be saved on the thickness of any asphalt to be applied.
Verge paving
Unstable road verges pose a hazard to road traffic. This requires continuous maintenance. We offer a permanent solution. Terrastab has developed a system for permanent reinforcement of road verges with an aim of 100% reuse of existing materials.
Sites
For heavily loaded areas, for example in port areas and industrial zones, Terrastab offers a durable pavement which can withstand high loads. In practice, Terrastab paving is very well applicable in storage and transhipment locations, parking areas, port areas, quays and (temporary) event areas.
Innovative, circular and low-carbon soil stabilization with a closed soil balance
In order to also be able to give future generations what the earth has to offer us, it is important to treat it responsibly. Our work therefore involves the use of natural binders that do not harm the environment. To make these binders In order to be able to process the waste, modern machinery is used which runs on HVO diesel. This drastically reduces CO2 emissions during operations. The supply and removal of materials is minimized because in many cases the existing materials can be reused. A nice bonus is that the inconvenience to local residents is also reduced. Finally, our method has a long lifespan and maintenance is limited. An advantage for the environment and you as a client!
