SHW specializes in blasting, scooping and wet painting of black steel and hot-dip galvanized steel. SHW offers durable custom solutions for large objects and/or constructions used in civil engineering. These include station covers, bridges, mooring facilities and lock components.

SHW has extensive experience in blasting and preservation of various types of materials. Since its establishment in 2001, the organization has developed not only in the field of production, but certainly also as a sparring partner and consultant for many sectors. SHW is familiar with many specifications and has its own NACE inspector.

As a specialist in sustainability issues, SHW is happy to support you in your expertise towards your client. On the basis of the various corrosion categories in accordance with NEN-EN-ISO 12944-5, SHW will put together the ideal paint system for you.

Due to its large blasting capacity, Straalbedrijf Holland West B.V. can blast large objects up to a size of 29 x 7 x 5 meters, weighing up to 32 tons. SHW also has a blast room with these dimensions. This blasting capacity fits in perfectly with the Steel coating hall XXL and ensures an efficient supply of materials to the Construction coating hall and the Hang coating hall. The Steel Coating Hall XXL is specifically equipped for coating objects or composite structures with large dimensions, such as HC containers, large 3D bridge decks, guy portals for the energy sector.

Or 130-year-old iron for the rail sector, such as Leeuwarden station. Another rail project we are proud of is the bus canopy at Amsterdam Central Station. Here we blasted a hot-dip galvanized steel construction and provided it with a two-layer paint system. An elevator and canopy construction for Alkmaar Noord station which we blasted sa 2.5 and provided with a three-layer system.
