SAES International was founded more than 35 years ago by current general manager Henk Saes. Since then, SAES International has been the manufacturer and supplier of equipment for recycling, demolition and earthmoving. Our history at a glance...

In 1982 Henk Saes began producing steel structures, mainly excavator buckets, loading buckets, fork boards and extension poles. Characteristic features were the company's own progressive designs and high quality. To keep up with the ever-increasing demand, production was soon transferred to production facilities in Russia, an unusual step for a Western European company in the late 1990s. To this day, large-scale, series production of these attachments and other constructions still takes place in several Eastern European countries, including Russia. In addition, small-scale productions (emergency productions, customizations, revisions, etc.) take place in the company's own workshop in Weert.

Shortly after its founding, the delivery program was expanded to include various hydraulic demolition tools. For this purpose a cooperation was started with the Japanese company FRD, which at that time established itself in Europe. Henk successfully introduced this previously unknown brand to the market, both at home and abroad. After more than 22 years of being the Dutch face of FRD and selling thousands of demolition hammers, SAES International was offered the exclusive distributorship of market leader Atlas Copco at the beginning of 2015.⁽¹⁾. Impressed by the unprecedented quality of the Atlas Copco product range, the new cooperation was soon a reality. Following a split within Atlas Copco in October 2017, these hydraulic demolition tools are now marketed worldwide under a new name: Epiroc. Besides the Epiroc distributorship, several other exclusive distributorships were acquired over the years, including those of the Spanish Xcentric® Ripper, German Erkat® and Danish Fractum. SAES International's current product range can be called comprehensive and is characterized by one common denominator: unparalleled quality.

During its existence, SAES International has gradually transformed from a traditional supplier into a contemporary partner. A partner that in the first place does not supply products, but solutions. Unburdening is the key word here. The range of services today is almost as extensive as the range of products.

And the sales market? It is growing steadily with us. Offered products and services are no longer only sold and/or rented within the national borders, but find their way to machine manufacturers, machine dealers, resellers, rental companies, contractors, dredgers and other customers worldwide.
