Amiblu is a 50:50 joint venture between HOBAS and Flowtite with the aim of developing, manufacturing and supplying GRP pipes and fittings to solve water and sewage challenges in a sustainable way. Amiblu is the specialist in GRP system solutions for wastewater, rainwater, drinking water, irrigation, hydropower and industrial applications. Amiblu is headquartered in Klagenfurt Austria and there are production facilities in Germany, Spain, Poland and Romania, the R&D center is located in Norway. In addition, we have licensing partners all over the world, plus an extensive network of sales and engineering offices which add a global dimension.
Amiblu's HOBAS and Flowtite GRP pipe systems are the result of over 60 years of innovation, experience and development. We are the largest manufacturer and technology partner for GRP pipes in the world. Thanks to our knowledge in composite engineering and material science, we offer products with an extremely long service life.
Amiblu's specialized technologies:
Our GRP piping systems replace traditional corrosion-prone materials such as concrete, cast iron and steel. And because GRP is a reinforced plastic, they are at least equal in strength to traditional materials and superior in weight, ease of use, longevity and overall durability.
Our product range includes:
Applications:
Delivery program:
Diameter: DN 200 - 4,000mm
Pressure: PN1 - 32 bar
Stiffness: SN 5,000 - 1,000,000 N/m2
Designed to last for generations
Amiblu GRP piping systems are ideally suited for corrosive environments and where strength and long life are required. An extensive product range in combination with the possibility of customized GRP fittings and connections complete the application possibilities of our Amiblu GRP products.
Sustainability:
Cradle-to-gate studies show that 80-90 percent of the environmental impact of GRP products is determined at the design stage. A life cycle assessment (LCA) is a powerful tool to learn which raw materials or production phases are most critical to the product's environmental performance. We have established the most comprehensive life cycle assessment (LCA) platform in the pipe industry. This allows us to carefully evaluate and choose the most environmentally friendly raw materials, designs and manufacturing processes for our products.
To date, Amiblu has compiled LCAs for much of our product range. We then summarized the comprehensive reports into easy-to-read, EU-standardized and third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) and can provide the data to stakeholders who want to know more about the environmental impact of our GRP piping systems.
