With Pronar and Sandvik, the company has importership of two high-quality brands for the Netherlands, providing a fullx product range for crushing and screening applications.
It is admirable what Jimmy van Herwijnen has built in the last 6 years with Pronar. A recycling man at heart, who values service and is available to support customers any time of the day. "That's part and parcel of this industry," he sounds realistic. "We are seeding every day, hoping to grow even further. Of course I am proud of what has been achieved so far. We have over a hundred drum screens running within the Benelux alone, and five have been delivered in the first three months of this year. Our secret? Delivering quality, both in products and service. We are very active, always give 110% and are further characterized by a no-nonsense attitude with short lines of communication."
Van Herwijnen Machinery has been in existence since 2011 and, as of June 2015, has boomed by expanding its operations with Pronar. This Polish manufacturer has been around for 30 years and added the first drum screen to its range of tractors, agricultural machinery and trailers in 2013. Since then, a whole line of recycling machines has been rigged up, including, in addition to screens, various fast- or slow-turning shredders (with single or double rollers), track-mobile conveyors and compost converters. Recently, the first Pronar composters in our country were delivered to Jelle Bijlsma. In addition, VGR Group had a first with the Pronar MRW 1.300 single roller pre-shredder and K.V.H. Wegenbouw took delivery of the first MRS 1.53 high-speed shredder.
Van Herwijnen: "Every year as many as four or five new models are introduced, to make the range even more complete. At the moment, Pronar is busy developing a line of hybrid machines, which can also run on a socket because all the hydraulic components are electrically controlled. A 30-meter conveyor is the first hybrid type. The demand for plug-in machines is growing. The MPB 20.55E becomes Pronar's first all-electric drum screen. The first one has been sold to Vollering Potting Soil, which already has a Pronar drum screen and conveyor belt. It is clear that customers are satisfied with us and the Pronar brand. Therefore, we often see customers returning to us after purchasing their first machine to buy another machine from us."
According to Van Herwijnen, Pronar drum screens are so good that many competitors have lost out, and the reducers are also increasingly winning over the market. "The machines are so strong in terms of quality and price that we win more than half of all demos. As an importer, we guarantee good recycling machines, perfect service and fast parts supply. In the last 2 years, no customer has had to stand still for more than one day! Quality is guaranteed by A-brand components such as Danfoss hydraulics, SKF bearings and engines from CAT, Deutz or Volvo Penta. In Kerkdriel we always have one or two drum screens and a shredder in stock for quick delivery. Furthermore, we carry out in-house modifications to make machines more suitable for specific applications."
