Vacancy: Traffic and Transportation Policy Officer

Vacancy: Policy Officer Traffic and Transportation

The Municipality of Leudal has all the dynamics of our time. With also the tensions that come with it. On the one hand, it is the green garden of Limburg, where the 36,000 inhabitants live generously in 16 villages, each with its own character. Leudal also generates the most sustainable energy of all of Limburg. Many of our residents find work in the progressive modern companies that stem from our agricultural past. Like, for example, high-tech seed breeding. Others travel in twenty minutes by highway to the Brainport region around Eindhoven.

These dynamics demand a lot from administrative Leudal. And therefore also from you as a civil servant. Because the attractive recreational environment of Leudal is visited by many tourists. While sustainability is achieved by windmills and solar meadows. Meanwhile, commuters from the Brainport want to live nice and quiet, and with all this, our successful agribusiness requires space to develop further.

Leudal is successful in aligning all this. It has already brought us a lot, but we want to be even better. That is why we are always open to new colleagues who think along about the design of a modern and livable Leudal.

The Space Department

The organization of the municipality of Leudal consists of the supporting department Bedrijfsvoering, and the policy departments Samenleving and Ruimte. It is for the Ruimte department that we are looking for new colleagues. Our department is organized in three teams:

  • Spatial Management: maintenance of public green spaces and roads, and civil projects.
  • Development: Spatial development through housing policy, rural transition, energy transition and economy.
  • VTH: Licensing, Supervision & Enforcement (io).

The working method of the Space department is characterized by less meetings, more doing and looking from the inside out. From colleagues at Ruimte we expect them to be experts in their field and to dare to advise the board outside the existing frameworks of today, because we are focused on tomorrow. In addition to professionals, there is of course room for young educated people who have dreams for the future.
