Surprisingly versatile in road marking

Since its start in 1975, HKV Ochten has grown into a renowned full-service supplier of a wide and deep range of supplies for civil engineering. In addition to industrial clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE), the company offers a very wide range of tools, advertising & signage products and road marking. Items that are delivered from stock at lightning speed throughout the country to a mixed group of customers. The emphasis here is not only on far-reaching personal attention, perfect service and optimum relief for the customer. The concept of sustainability is also being increasingly embraced within the Gelderland company.

Surprising and versatile. This is perhaps the best way to describe the assortment of the all-round supplier from Ochten. One of the product groups with which HKV Ochten serves the customized market is road marking. A denominator under which hundreds of different products find their way to various customers, such as road authorities and contracting companies. Account manager Bert Oomen, with some thirty years of practical experience, explains the branch in more detail. "In order to serve our partners optimally, the supply of road marking products has been part of our core activities for many years. It is a product group in which we are more than complete. Furthermore, we are well informed about the latest laws and regulations. As a result, we can always provide the customer with appropriate advice and answer any question in this area appropriately."

Four pillars

The package of road marking products offered by HKV Ochten roughly comprises four subgroups: signage, barrier materials, posts & fixing materials and other. "Four pillars that excel in completeness and variety," Oomen explains. "Take signage, for example. We have these in all shapes and sizes, both for permanent and short-term use. For example, we recently supplied over 60 percent of the signs around the speed reduction on highways. Including the structures on which they were placed. The temporary products mainly concern signs, shields, cones and drop-off fences that are usually used for smaller-scale work." The listing underscores the wide variety of products that can be purchased both in HKV Ochten's own showroom and online. This includes the foil, which can be used to compose texts for temporary signs and/or markings. It is an item that is even available as a PVC-free variant. "In the context of the circular economy, we are increasingly focusing on sustainability," Oomen believes. "The latest evidence of this is the development of a sign made from natural materials. We have an eye for today's world, but also for tomorrow's."
