Soil testing on which to build

Since 1996 the company has been engaged in geotechnical and environmental soil investigation. Besides performing CPTs and borings, Koops Grondmechanica also has its own geotechnical laboratory.

"Our expertise lies mainly in infrastructure," says Albert Palsma, owner of Koops Grondmechanica since 2014. "We operate nationwide for clients such as engineering firms, governments, water boards, infrastructure and construction companies and structural engineers." Network operators also know how to find Koops Grondmechanica. "For the Dutch Gasunie and TenneT we are almost daily engaged in geotechnical and environmental soil investigations for the benefit of the energy transition. This ranges from carrying out probing and drilling to geotechnical laboratory research. In our own laboratory in Roden we are able to perform a large number of tests. From the well-known grain distribution and permeability tests to the more complex tests, such as compression and triaxial tests. In addition, we are also active in the field of geomonitoring, including pumping out gauge and slope measurement tubes, monitoring groundwater levels and monitoring settlements. We are also the right place for geotechnical and geohydrological advice. We stand for quality and provide thorough soil research on which to build," Palsma concludes.
