De Klerk Werkendam is expanding its business activities as of today by taking over Labrujère from Middelburg. The acquisition of Labrujère fits in with De Klerk's strategy of excelling in (constructive) hydraulic engineering solutions and offering total solutions in this area.
De Klerk Werkendam has been a well-known and reliable partner in hydraulic and steel construction for more than 140 years. Labrujère, with over 75 years of experience and versatile expertise, is a household name in the field of high-quality steel structures and mechanical maintenance. Both parties have worked together to their full satisfaction in recent years. With the takeover, De Klerk is strengthening its disciplines of Hydraulic and Steel Construction with the addition of Mechanical Engineering. This provides a broad package of work and services.

De Klerk takes over all activities and employees of Labrujère. Labrujère will continue to offer steel construction and mechanical engineering services under its own name and from its familiar address in Middelburg under its current management. General management and corporate affairs will be handled by Arie Schaap, director of De Klerk Werkendam, with general affairs being facilitated centrally from De Klerk. By creating synergy between both companies in many areas, the complete package of services will be carried out efficiently and competently from a professionally equipped organization.
"With the acquisition we are convinced we can build an even stronger market position. A combination of disciplines that does not happen often," said Arie Schaap, director De Klerk Werkendam. "With the good name, knowledge and skills of both parties under one roof, we look to the future with confidence."
