New Volvo EC250E and EC300E

Volvo Construction Equipment's (Volvo CE) new EC250E and EC300E crawler excavators are heavy-duty machines that weigh 26-31.5 t and 30.2-36.8 t, respectively. These upgraded machines are packed with the latest technology, new and proven features, and can even come with purpose-built options to help customers move more for less. These Volvo excavators have a durable design and are safe, comfortable and reliable members of the fleet.

Operators benefit from improved response times thanks to an electric joystick and fully controllable electric travel pedals. They are aided in their task by the optional Dig Assist apps, powered by the large (10-inch) Volvo Co-Pilot tablet in the cab. This includes 2D, In-Field Design, 3D software packages and On-Board roads. Volvo Active Control also increases digging accuracy, allowing tasks up to 45% to be completed faster thanks to automated boom and bucket movements. In addition, operators can easily set a swing gate, height restriction and depth limit to avoid contact with side and overhead obstacles such as power lines and underground hazards (such as pipes and cables).

Renowned features such as easy access points, bolt-on anti-slip plates and high-visibility handrails, as well as the spacious, ergonomic and low-noise cab (Volvo Care Cab) ensure the highest level of operator comfort and safety. Comfort Drive Control (CDC) helps reduce fatigue by allowing operators to control the machine with the joystick rollers instead of the pedals. Preparing for the work day couldn't be easier, with customizable settings, including easy selection of desired operating patterns via the monitor and a new "long-press" functionality on the joystick that allows operators to set up an additional quick-release function.

And with compatibility with Steelwrist®, Engcon®, Rototilt®, SMP® and OilQuick® tiltrotators, operators can increase productivity and dig from any angle. The factory-installed tiltrotator preparation system allows operators to operate both the excavator and tiltrotator with the original joysticks, with information displayed on the main display. The long-term performance of all these attachments is assured by a 10% improvement in hydraulic attachment cooling capacity.

Trouble-free maintenance and low service intervals.

The new D8M Volvo engine builds on generations of proven Volvo engine technology. Service requirements are reduced with automatic engine regeneration. The new hydraulic system has fewer hoses, requiring fewer couplings and increasing reliability. Time and maintenance costs are further reduced as engine oil and filter change intervals are doubled to 1,000 hours. And if the AdBlue needs to be refilled, the new splash guard makes filling faster and easier, while reducing the risk of spillage and subsequent corrosion.

Even the toughest working environments are up to the Volvo EC300E and EC250E. Both machines feature robust undercarriages with reinforced intermediate wheels, track links and underrollers. Strength and durability are further supported by a reinforced bucket joint, an optional heavy-duty superstructure, undercover and easily replaceable wear plates.
