New digital solutions for the construction site

Digital solutions make working in the GWW even more efficient. A mobile app for the DoosanCONNECTTM fleet management system, fuel cell drones and ready-to-use kits for Leica, Trimble and Xsite. They expand the current Smart Solutions offering for Doosan machines used in construction, quarries and mines. Doosan Infracore Europe has announced a number of developments under the title "Powered by Innovation," showing what the company has in store for the future. And that bodes well.

These include Doosan's strategic partnership with Palantir Technologies, a major U.S. data storage company. The partnership is part of Doosan's ambition to provide new products and services by combining ICT technologies such as big data and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Charlie Park, CEO of Doosan Infracore Europe said, "The world of construction, quarrying and mining is becoming increasingly digitized. We want to stay ahead by investing heavily in new technology for our product development. Not only are we investing in solutions with drones and automated machine control, but we are also working with companies such as Trimble, Leica, Moba (Novatron) and now Palantir."

What can we expect?

At Bauma 2019, Doosan has already offered a glimpse of the future by demonstrating long-distance machine control via its new 5G communication system and previewing ConceptX. Later this year, Doosan hopes to demonstrate ConceptX in South Korea where a complete set of solutions will be on display with control centers, cloud-based systems, digitized machines, autonomous driving and fuel cell drones.

Ready-made sets

To meet the increasing demand for working more efficiently with machine guidance systems on excavators, Doosan Smart Solutions now offers ready-to-use kits for use with 2D and 3D machine guidance systems from Leica, Trimble and Xsite for the new Doosan 14- to 30-ton excavators.

DoosanCARE service philosophy

The service programs within Doosan Smart Solutions aim to help customers work more efficiently by creating a smart working environment. With this in mind, Doosan has introduced a new mobile app, DoosanCARE, for its successful DoosanCONNECTTM fleet management system that is now installed on more than 70,000 machines around the world. The benefits of this "customer care" program include a focus on higher machine productivity, longer machine life and better planning of customer service and support.

Says Charlie Park, "Our growth strategy is focused on a more diversified product and aftermarket offering. We want to differentiate ourselves from other manufacturers with our higher level of customer support and services. We want to be known in our markets as the most technologically advanced brand."
