Mega-investment for Evenementenhal Gorinchem with new ultramodern exhibition hall: Next Level

Major quality boost for exhibition site on A15, completion at end of August 2019

Evenementenhal Gorinchem is expanding with a second state-of-the-art exhibition hall. The name of this new exhibition hall is 'Next Level' and will have its own corporate identity and website. Work started several months ago. The completion of Next Level is at the end of August. Previously Evenementenhal Gorinchem consisted of one large exhibition hall on the first floor. The second exhibition hall will be on the upper floor which will be connected one-to-one with the current hall by two central escalators.

Since 2016, Evenementenhal Gorinchem has been owned by Easyfairs. This international exhibition organizer wants to use this mega-investment to further grow its exhibitions in Gorinchem. The upper floor of Evenementenhal Gorinchem previously consisted of a small section of exhibition floor and numerous other spaces. Over the past period, the entire upper floor has been dismantled. One open space of 6,400 square meters has now been created, including 5,800 square meters of exhibition floor and conference space. Next Level will also be usable by outside organizations to hold gala performances, small-scale trade shows, company parties and conventions. In doing so, they can benefit from the all-in formula (including stand construction, furniture, catering) that Easyfairs specializes in.

"Next Level will be a state-of-the-art exhibition hall that will be multifunctional. For example, several trade shows have outgrown their space. They can now grow further by expanding to the upper floor. It also provides opportunities for multiple fairs and events to take place simultaneously. If a trade show or event has enough space on just the first floor, the upstairs can be used for another event. Next Level will feature a meter-long glass wall on the balcony that can be opened and closed for an ideal connection between Next Level and first floor. The wall also has an integrated blackout facility so that the glass wall can also be visually sealed off from the first floor," says CEO Jeroen van Hooff of Easyfairs Netherlands.

In addition, Next Level has a new reception area and two conference rooms, one with a widescreen over twelve meters wide. One conference room has capacity for 350 people, the other for 100. The largest room can also be divided into 2×175 people with a soundproof wall. In addition, the conference rooms can be used by exhibitors prior to or during a trade show as additional seminar or presentation space.

Easyfairs is also investing in an improved connection between the first floor and Next Level. For example, new, additional escalators and a fixed staircase will be installed in a central position. Furthermore, Next Level will be equipped with two new goods elevators that will ensure that all kinds of materials and goods can be moved upstairs. In addition, the new Next Level exhibition hall will feature state-of-the-art audiovisual technology, LED lighting and a fresh and modern decoration.

Next Level's website goes live in mid-August, then the completion of the new exhibition hall is at the end of August. "We are going to celebrate the opening of Next Level in a big way. Not only for visitors and exhibitors, but also for other interested parties. Everyone can witness the new showpiece of Evenementenhal Gorinchem, because we are already extremely proud! The first trade show to use Next Level will be TrendZ Autumn, the retail and retail buying show on Aug. 25, 26 and 27, 2019.
