Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe presents the next generation of excavators: the 36-ton HX360L and 40-ton HX400L. Both models are powered by Hyundai's award-winning DX08 diesel engine and combine advanced technologies that enhance safety, improve ease of use, and increase productivity.
The six-cylinder Hyundai DX08 engine is a completely new design and delivers 341 hp (254 kW), with 23 % more power than previous models. The new, high-quality materials ensure durability, but also greater operational efficiency and fuel savings of 8 %. Oil and filter maintenance intervals have been extended to 1000 hours, and DPF cleaning is only required every 8000 hours.
Hyundai's ECU software optimizes engine performance specifically for excavators. Improved hydraulic pumps, Hyundai swing and travel motors, and fully electro-hydraulic steering (FEH) via the EPOS system increase responsiveness and reduce fuel consumption.

The redesigned cab is equipped with heated and cooled leather seats, dual 12.8″ HD monitors, and fully adjustable electrohydraulic joysticks, allowing operators to customize hydraulic response. FEH controllers ensure precise oil flow, saving up to 8% in fuel. The new generation of excavators also offers numerous options, including keyless start with smartphone, on-board weighing, 2D machine guidance, and a virtual wall. Lift Assist also provides insight into safe lifting zones for accurate and safe operation.
The enhanced Smart Around View Monitoring (SAVM) system uses six AI-assisted cameras to detect people and objects. An object detection system provides warnings and can automatically stop the machine if hazards are ignored. Additional safety features include LED work lights, 360° rotating beacons, a white noise alarm, cab roof protection, welcome lighting, and an external microphone.
Wide access hatches and extended maintenance intervals minimize downtime. A reversible cooling fan efficiently removes debris, while Hi MATE telematics and Equipment Health Management (EHM) continuously monitor the machine, predict maintenance, and provide location and theft protection.
