Hitachi offers greater comfort, safety and uptime

Increase profit, comfort, safety and uptime. Those who want that can turn to Hitachi, which, with the new Zaxis-7 mobile excavator series, offers a comprehensive range of features to make that happen, including excellent lifetime service. In short, it is "a matter of the right vision."

Wilbert Blom, product manager for excavators at Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV is happy to explain what he means by that 'vision': "Whoever orders a new Hitachi wheeled excavator is becoming part of the latest generation of a global family. Hitachi has 50 years of experience in designing hydraulic excavators. Innovation is in our blood, and the versatile ZX150W-7, ZX155W-7 and ZX180W-7, as well as the two new small turning radius models: the ZX135W-7 and the ZX175W-7, again incorporate advanced technology."

Full control

"Whatever our customers have in mind, we can offer them the products, people, solutions and services that give them complete control over their world," Wilbert said. The smallest model in the series, the ZX135W-7, is based on the larger ZX155W-7 and is equipped with the same engine. It has a compact 360-degree turning radius (1,740 mm at the rear, 1,750 mm at the front), making it suitable for small job sites. The recently developed ZX175W-7 is even more productive thanks to exceptional digging power and lift capacity.

More profitability

The new models can be quickly adapted to the preferences of the operator and the requirements of the construction site. The HIOS V hydraulic system provides higher front attachment speed and 7% less fuel consumption than previous models. Attachments are easily transported using the optional trailer support package and easily changed using the improved support system. The Zaxis-7 wheeled excavators are built to last. The new models have been thoroughly tested in special facilities in Japan to ensure consistent performance and optimum uptime.

Pleasant working environment

The redesigned cab of the Zaxis-7 is extremely spacious and offers much more comfort than the previous generation, thanks to less noise and reduced vibrations. It has an automatic brake and operator fatigue is reduced thanks to the seat with synchronous moving control console and the new ergonomic design of console and switches. All buttons are easily accessible, and the manufacturer offers ex-factory features such as cruise control, automatic transmission and the optional ride control system, which suppresses front attachment vibrations. New features were added to the high-visibility monitor and joysticks.

Even more safety

The cab offers better all-round visibility, thanks in part to the slim steering column (with larger angle of adjustment) and smaller steering wheel. Safety is further enhanced by the exceptional 270-degree viewing angle from above with the Aerial Angle camera system. The operator has a choice of six viewing options of the immediate surroundings on the monitor. For tough conditions, the Zaxis-7 mobile excavators have received features such as LED work lights, larger mirrors and a windshield wiper with a larger wiping surface. When driving on public roads, the superstructure and front attachment are locked once the machine is in the correct position.
