No waiting times and fully customized if desired

“Schwarzmüller builds standard models where possible and custom models where necessary,” says Harmen Beens, sales consultant at Stoter Truck en Trailer. Although the Schwarzmüller group delivers around 10,000 vehicles annually, they are happy to produce fully customized trailers. This is all done ex-factory, without long waiting times. Since the end of 2022, Stoter Truck en Trailer from IJsselmuiden has been the official importer of the Austrian trailer brand Schwarzmüller. According to the company, this partnership is a perfect fit with the growing demand in the civil engineering sector for customization, efficiency, and fast delivery times.

Where many manufacturers stick to a limited configuration menu, Schwarzmüller is known for its flexibility and customization. In IJsselmuiden, Stoter has its own configuration program that allows direct communication with the factory. Whether it's a different floor thickness, specific cubic capacity, or non-standard dimensions, almost anything is possible.

According to Beens, this is exactly what customers in the construction and infrastructure market appreciate. “We go through all the options with the customer step by step to arrive at the right configuration. Because Stoter Transport has been using Schwarzmüller for years, we know exactly where the trailers make a difference in practice, and we take that into account in our advice.”

What sets Schwarzmüller apart?

Beens explains that Schwarzmüller stands out thanks to a combination of features that are particularly valued in the civil engineering sector. For example, the trailers have a low unladen weight, which directly results in a higher load capacity. In addition, they can be equipped with a fifth wheel load of up to 18 tons, making them suitable for heavier work. The low center of gravity contributes to optimal stability, while the slanted chassis ensures that the tipper sits firmly and stably in the chassis. The construction is known for being strong and robust, and thanks to the long neck, the tipper can be positioned closer to the truck, which provides an additional advantage in terms of overall length. In addition, the trailer quickly reaches road level during loading, allowing weights to be read accurately.

In addition to customization, Schwarzmüller also has a wide range of trailers directly in stock. According to Beens, this is a major advantage in a market with increasingly shorter lead times.

“We can deliver quickly, and if there are specific requirements, we can adapt them immediately in our own workshop,” he explains. “Think of extra lighting, cameras, a mudguard behind the rear axle, or the application of company advertising.”

New 4-axle flatbed trailers

Stoter also supplies 4-axle low loaders from stock for transporting road construction machinery. These are equipped with a flat loading floor and hydraulic ramps with a generous width. The loading floor measures 9 meters, of which 8.5 meters is flat and 0.5 meters is sloped. “These flatbed trailers are exactly what civil engineering companies need: robust, practical, and quick to deploy,” says Beens.

The combination of Schwarzmüller technology and the expertise of Stoter Truck and Trailer means that a suitable solution can be found for almost every customer requirement. “Almost anything is possible, and we really mean that,” concludes Beens. “Whether it's a tipper, a flatbed, or a completely different configuration, we can take care of it.”
