First Kobelco SK140SRLC-7 crawler excavator for Van der Spek

Van der Spek | green, soil & infra from Bergschenhoek, through the Kemp Group in De Meern, was the first in the Netherlands to purchase a Kobelco SK140SRLC-7 compact rotary track excavator. Not only a big step forward in terms of looks, but also the performance compared to the previous generation is impressive.

The new Kobelco SK140SRLC-7 replaces a 2007 KATO HD513LC-III crawler excavator with over 15,000 hours on the clock.

So in addition to the wonderfully comfortable cab in which truly every operator feels like king, performance has also been improved. The combination of power, speed, low fuel consumption and comfort allows the operator to increase productivity. So immediately more efficiency and lower costs per operating hour.

Equipment

The driver imagines himself in a luxury car in which he is surrounded by the latest technology. The interior, besides looking nice, is also very functional. A large rotary knob allows you to easily operate everything. The 10-inch color monitor is easy to read and the complete menu structure is logically structured. The operation of special attachments is also fully integrated. The ergonomically designed and air-suspended seat has excellent cushioning and is perfectly adjustable even for the taller operator so that he or she can work comfortably for hours.

Stage V

Equipped with a new Stage V engine, the SK140SRLC-7 is particularly stable despite its compact range. The ISUZU engine is characterized by an output of 86 kW at a speed of 2,200 min-1. This is 10% more than the Kobelco SK140SRLC-5. The digging force of 105.4 kN is a whopping 17% more than the previous model.

Low maintenance

Every machine benefits from periodic maintenance and daily inspection. When developing this, Kobelco took into account that this should be easy to do. From street level, all filters can be checked and, where necessary, simply replaced. Even refilling AdBlue can be done cleanly and without spilling. Access to the engine is facilitated by the low step, wide steps and railing along the route to the machine's superstructure.
