A sweeping brush suitable for heavy duty work!

Customization and speed. Two important words within the GWW. But of course this should not be at the expense of quality! They know that like no other at Attec International bvba. The company has been focusing on attachments for construction machinery for decades. With a range of more than 100 attachments, it serves all markets from its product location in Markegem (B). And now another first is being added.

"We realize that attachments contribute to machine sales. The more tasks you can perform with them, the higher the productivity therefore the efficiency of the machines." Speaking is Dries Vangaever, CEO of Attec. He continues: "Because we have everything 100% in our own production, we can quickly produce large, customized attachments. The attachments are suitable for all brands. All this makes us highly valued in the industry. Also, we are always innovating."

History

The Heavy Duty Sweeping Brush has recently been added to Attec's wide range of products. A great story precedes this, says Vangaever. "My father took the lead back in 1984 with the invention of the world-famous sweeping brush with collection bucket. He came up with this idea when he saw my mother busy with a sweeper and dustpan. Years later, he sold his patents to Bobcat in the US. This made the sweeper brush the best-selling attachment ever worldwide. Over the years, many variants have come, such as an enclosed version for dust-free sweeping and a side brush that allows you to sweep along walls or curbs. And now there is a variant for the really heavy work."

The difference from the standard sweeping brush is the new diameter. The heavy duty brush has a diameter of 600 mm making it fit on larger machines such as heavier loaders and enrichers. The collection capacity has also been increased. "Because we always continue to develop and listen to market demands, our products get even better time after time. In the new version, the chain guard is on the inside so it can no longer be broken. Furthermore, we have reinforced all parts such as the collection tray, the brush hood and side walls so that they are suitable for heavier machines. So a real heavy boy, great for use in ship trimming, in the recycling business and in road construction!"

Keep it simple

"Our sweeping brush is simple in construction. I always say 'keep it simple.' The less is on it, the less can be broken. That's why it's a conscious decision not to open the sweeping brush hydraulically or electrically. We let gravity do the work to open a hood, for example. This also makes our products maintenance-free. Our products are often copied; I take that as a compliment. But they are quickly made too complicated." Finally, Vangaever mentions some other advantages of the new brush: "The brush sweeps both forwards and backwards. The collection bucket comes standard with a reversible ground blade in Hardox. We supply 100% polypropylene brushes as standard, but optionally they are available in 100% steel or a combination of 50% steel and 50% poly. The sweeping brush can also be optionally equipped with a side brush and a spray system to further reduce dust nuisance. Another great addition to our extensive range," concludes Vangaever.
