MCL series is answer to growing demand for compact articulated loaders
At Bauma, Mecalac is showing with three relatively large electric machines, that it is at the forefront of environmental issues. In addition, the range of articulated loaders has been expanded with the six models of the MCL range. They are a direct response to the growing demand for small, multifunctional articulated loaders in the agricultural, rental and construction sectors.
Mecalac is represented in our country by Ahlmann Netherlands. We asked PR man Peter van Keulen which new machines will soon be on display (and, of course, for sale) in Ammerzoden. In particular, he expects a lot of interest in both of the electric tire machines: the Ahlmann es1000 swing loader with 1,000-liter bucket capacity and the 11-ton Mecalac e12 excavator, including the M-Power charging solution for on-site use. The compact articulated loaders include the MCL2, MCL4+ and MCL8 models.
Plenty of small electric machines these days, but where are they in the heavier machine classes? Mecalac wants to change that. At Bauma, it is presenting a complementary range of mid-size electric machines for digging, loading and transporting. According to Mecalac, the 1000-liter es1000 swing loader, the 11-ton e12 excavator and the 6-ton ed6 wheel dumper fit well with the emission-free needs of inner-city builders.
To supply them with energy, M-Power is being introduced at the same time: a mobile power supply solution. With its storage capacity of 300 kWh, this power box replaces the traditional diesel generator and allows for cleaner and quieter work, even in the early and late hours. Mecalac had it calculated that the trio can save 64 tons of CO2 on an annual basis.
Mecalac and Ahlmann Netherlands are seeing increasing demand for compact articulated loaders, which are increasingly replacing other types of machines because they are more versatile, maneuverable and also safer. The new Mecalac MCL range includes six models, from 1.74 to 2.85 tons. Four of them have a longer boom as standard for agricultural operations, two have a short lifting frame especially for the construction segment.
The MCL2 with wheel motor transmission is highly maneuverable. As the smallest within the MCL series, it delivers maximum performance. There is a choice of canopy or cab.
The MCL4+ with its 18.4 kW motor offers an excellent compromise between compactness and lifting power. Its low transport weight makes it easy to transport on a trailer. The "plus" version is especially geared to the construction industry. Its short arm guarantees a higher tipping load.
The MCL8's key words are hefty power, large dumping height and hefty lifting capacity. This largest articulated loader in the MCL range stands strong when loading, moving and driving hydraulic attachments.
