Thanks to expansion, Van Laecke Group is ready for the future

25,000 m², that's the surface area of the Van Laecke Group's new, Belgian site. At the end of June, they left their familiar location at Schatting 8 and moved to Remi Claeysstraat 66 in Zedelgem. The new site is 350 m from the old company building and, above all, offers the company more space than before.

Reference in the Benelux recycling industry

Anyone who says recycling machines cannot ignore the Van Laecke Group. The family-run SME has years of experience and expertise in specialized machinery for the recycling, construction and agricultural sectors. The company was founded in 1990 as an agricultural mechanization company and has since grown into a reference in the Benelux recycling sector. Within the group you can find recycling machines for processing soil and stone waste of various origins, but also for processing demolition and green wood.

Experts @ your service is not an empty slogan at the Van Laecke Group. Customer satisfaction is central and ranges from giving advice on choosing a suitable machine to having a team of technicians on standby in case of maintenance, repair and breakdown assistance.

The full liner in recycling machines stands for continuity and reliability and this is also reflected in the dealership with their suppliers. With most suppliers there is already a cooperation of more than 10 years. Because of this long-standing commitment, they can proudly call themselves a reliable partner of the brands Finlay, EvoQuip, ALLU, JENZ, Terra Select, Teuton, Forus, Backhus, FAE, Prostack, Ploeger, Ecohog, Terex Washing Systems... A long-term vision and cooperation that also pays off for the customer.

A central site

In 2018, the Dutch branch, Van Bemmel Recycling, already invested in new premises in Houten, near Utrecht, and for Zedelgem, 2022 became the year of renewal.

"Previously, we were present at four sites on the same street with our Belgian branch. Due to the distribution of machines and parts at the different locations, the choice of one large central site was natural," says Luc Van Laecke. "A deliberate choice was made for a corporate site that is fully geared to our customers, employees and business activity. The large business site and the new offices give the necessary space to work more efficiently in order to serve the customer even better."

The showpiece of the site is the brand new warehouse that houses some 241,000 parts. Van Laecke Group is thus investing in sufficient space to raise the service level to an even higher level, even in these not-so-easy times.

Luc Van Laecke explains, "We always have a large stock of spare parts on hand to guarantee minimum downtime in the event of a breakdown. A task that is sometimes somewhat complicated by the current economic times. The globally disrupted supply chain also causes supply problems for us, including parts. We therefore regularly sit down with our suppliers to anticipate this difficult market situation as much as possible. A lot of challenges along the way, but with the expansion, Van Laecke Group is ready to remain 'experts @your service' in the future."
