Promoting the purchase and rental of electric machines - that is the aim of Planmeister and Limach's action in which they are giving away one year's Planmeister subscription free with the purchase of a Limach machine. Both organizations have listened to their customers and with the help of this action, the parties want to lower the threshold for purchasing and working with an electric machine. Planmeister is the online platform for GWW Netherlands where supply and demand come together. "We saw the need for a platform or tool that would allow us to quickly see where each machine is and who has a machine left in the area. The platform is full of features that a planner is crying out for, but the biggest opportunity the platform presents is reducing a company's carbon footprint," said Kor van der Flier, Commercial Director Planmeister. He continues, "The cooperation with Limach fits our vision."
Limach is an initiative of two driven entrepreneurs who, with a passion for new innovations, were the first to bring an electric excavator to the market. Due to their sharp vision and expertise, they have become the leading manufacturer of electric excavators. Mathilde Methorst, HR and Marketing manager says: "Every day we are engaged in converting Volvo excavators into productive full electric excavators. We believe it is important to engage in conversation with our customers and we take their wishes and needs into account in improving our machines and processes."
In early February, Planmeister and Limach launched the promotion "No unnecessarily idle Limach machines with Planmeister." With the purchase of an electric machine from Limach, the entrepreneur receives a free one-year subscription to Planmeister.
"Several customers told us that their electric machines are hard to find and that this prevents them from renting out these machines year-round," said Kor.
He continues: "Planmeister offers many opportunities precisely for the providers of electric machines. After all, you can indicate that your machine operates emission-free and people can filter for emission-free machines on Planmeister using the 'Zero emission' button. Nevertheless, we started thinking further about how we could encourage the purchase and rental of electric machines even more. From this, this action was born."
"We didn't have to think long about which organization we wanted to introduce this campaign with. Limach is a progressive company with enormous ambition. They are an A-brand of Dutch origin and continue to innovate," said Kor.
In 2019, Limach won the award for most quiet, efficient and productive electric machine of 2019 with their 1.8 ton mini excavator. Mathilde says: "Our development department is working daily to improve electric machines. We are currently working hard on the first 14-ton excavator with interchangeable battery packs."
Limach also received several questions from the market about making electrical machines findable. Mathilde says: "The biggest barrier for many companies is renting out the electric excavator when they don't need it themselves. Planmeister offers a solution for this. We were therefore immediately enthusiastic when Planmeister approached us for this cooperation."
With the help of the platform, Planmeister creates a platform for companies in the GWW sector and, in particular, for providers of electrical machines. Kor explains, "An entrepreneur who purchases an electric machine is sticking his neck out and spending extra money to work sustainably. He or she takes more risk and we think this entrepreneur deserves a stage." Mathilde complements him, saying, "We hope to make the threshold even smaller with this action and offer our customers new opportunities."
