Continued innovation ensures top product again

There is a cheaper alternative to the classic rotary sieve drums now commonly used. Attec International bvba, a manufacturer of compact attachments for construction machinery of various brands for more than forty years, has another first. This time a compact sieve bucket. This makes it possible to sort smaller quantities of granules in a simple way.

Dries Vangaever, owner and CEO of Attec International bvba since 2014, explains, "Attec is always innovating. We want to fulfill the needs of our customers. That, combined with the fact that in addition to our wide range of products, we also provide customization and short delivery times, is our strength. I always look at the ever-increasing demand from the market and see what is needed. For example, I saw that there are many contractors who want to sort gravel to a limited extent, but find the classic rotary screen drums too big or too expensive for that. That's why we decided to capitalize on that niche." Attec developed a compact screening bucket in-house, which can be placed as an attachment on virtually any type of machine of any make: wheel loaders, excavators, telehandlers and forklifts. But in this particular case also on mini excavators. Dries continues: "So it's ideal, for example, for the garden contractor who wants to remove the debris in the ground around a newly built house before laying out the garden."

No hydraulic or electrical components
"There is a lot to tell about our new screening bucket," says Dries. "This screening bucket contains no hydraulic or electrical parts, but works purely on the principle of gravity, making it very 'trouble-free'. The front and back of the bucket are fitted with a hardox ground blade, so the screening bucket can also be used perfectly well for leveling. How exactly does it work? By shaking the screening bucket, gravity causes the finest granules to fall through the first grid. Next, the bin can be tilted, allowing you to separate the granules collected by the second-diameter grid. Finally, you tilt the bin the other way which separates the large debris. In short: two grids with which you can indicate a total of three sizes of sorting. These grids are interchangeable if other diameters are desired. Currently, grids ranging from 1 to 5 cm are available, but this range is being expanded." Meanwhile, the patent for the screening bin has been filed and production is underway. The first production sieve buckets -fit for mini excavators from 1 to 12 tons- is ready, but in principle Attec can supply larger or custom or customer demand. "Customization and speed, that's what we are known for! Because we produce everything ourselves, we are not dependent on other suppliers and therefore not only maintain a short delivery time but also guarantee the quality of our products. We are proud of our range of over one hundred and twenty attachments with which we serve all markets from our product location in Markegem, Belgium." Dries concludes, "We have also been a Lowe importer for thirty years and recently our Lowe importership was extended for another ten years. This allows us to continue to serve all of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Russia."
