The first edition under the new name will be on March 23, 24 and 25, 2021 at Evenementenhal Gorinchem. Aqua Nederland will bring together supply and demand of water technology, water management services and knowledge products for the entire national water chain. At Aqua Nederland, the four water types of Waste Water, Drinking Water, Process Water and Urban Water & Sewer Management will each get more face with targeted knowledge sessions, demonstrations and networking opportunities. Initially, the merger was intended for the 15th edition of Aqua Netherlands, but due to the relocation because of the Covid-19 pandemic, it will still be the 14th edition in 2021.
Esther Rodenburg, Event Manager Aqua Netherlands, explains: "It promised to be a festive edition in Gorinchem in March 2020. Unfortunately, three days before the build-up it became clear that due to the effects of the corona virus no 2020 edition was possible. The intended official announcement of the merge was therefore postponed until today."
"Like many of our partners, we see that there is really only one water chain in the Netherlands that is increasingly unified. A chain that fortunately is increasingly working together to meet the challenges of circularity, energy transition, climate adaptation and safe water. Just think of developments such as a treatment plant that is used as a water plant for process water, thus sparing drinking water. Or urban water management solutions that retain excess water and relieve the sewer system," Rodenburg continued.
Aqua Nederland is also getting a new corporate identity. Partly due to the relocation, 300 exhibitors have already been confirmed for Aqua Nederland 2021. The range of exhibitors at RioleringsVakdagen can be found under the heading Urban Water & Sewer Management. The new format gives more space for the growing number of partners with solutions for water management in public spaces. The revamped upper floor, Next Level, features engineering firms and innovators with climate-adaptive solutions. To create an ideal connection between the two floors, two new escalators and a fixed staircase have been installed. Next Level comprises a total of 5,800 square meters of exhibition floor and conference space.
Easyfairs distinguishes itself in the trade show industry by bringing national events on an international level. This is currently happening in 18 countries. Aqua Netherlands is a successful title that ticks all the checkboxes for so-called geo-cloning. Easyfairs sees a growing demand in other countries to bring local or national communities together. This trend was already underway, but is further accelerated by the Covid-19 implications. The concept will be released in Switzerland, Sweden and Germany next year and plans are ready to translate this to even more countries as well.
Aqua Netherlands originated from Aqua Nederland Vakbeurs and RioleringsVakdagen. It is the annual event for Dutch water professionals in wastewater, drinking water, process water and urban water & sewer management. During the water fair of the Netherlands, visitors see, feel and experience the latest innovations, services and products in the field of water treatment, water management, water technology and sewer technology.
Aqua Netherlands is free to attend after pre-registration on March 23, 24 & 25, 2021 at Evenementenhal Gorinchem. For more information: www.aquanederland.nl.
