More and more things are done electrically on construction sites, but there are fewer and fewer large power connections. You want to be able to solve this flexibly with battery boxes, preferably without further hassle. The BouwPower was developed with this in mind, with a capacity of 50, 100 or 200 kWh.
The first have been in the field for a year now: power on construction sites, recharging compact electrical equipment, sustainable well dewatering, but also as a temporary supply for a restaurant that had to wait for a heavier 80 kVA connection and could already open thanks to the BouwPower. After the large BP100, Ahlmann Netherlands from Ammerzoden is now coming out with a more manageable size, which better suits the needs in the market and combines numerous advantages. A generator with 51.9 kWh of battery capacity in a robust housing.
Its compact pallet size and central lifting eye make the BP50 quick and easy to move to or from any location. The versatile power pack makes it possible to turn 230 Volts into 32A power with a simple domestic plug. An output of 63A - good for 43 kW of power - is even achievable in combination with 32A from the grid or by connecting a second BouwPower.
With the Powerbox BP50, the construction site can be powered emission-free without the need for further infrastructure. A sustainable solution for powering small electrical equipment or hand tools, site lighting or security and the sheds. "The BouwPower was developed from the idea of providing a sustainable solution in a robust environment. Think of regular movements between projects with dust, water and many charge and discharge cycles," says Arjan van den Oord. Thanks to its lightweight battery configuration, the BP50 is exempt from ADR transport regulations for hazardous materials, so it can be transported in a bus or on a trailer without any certificates or administrative hassle.
In addition to quality and robustness, great thought has been given to practicality. For example, the plug sockets are safely "hidden" behind a door, preventing plugs from simply being pulled out of a socket. There is also a lockable storage compartment for charging cables and power tools. By continuously connecting the BouwPower to the power grid, enough power is generated without loss to power the site. "The BP50 is more than just a power pack and can even multiply," Van den Oord explains. With 3-phase power, the compact BouwPower realizes 64A or 43 kW output from 32A/400V/22kW of input. That makes it ideal as an interim solution for those waiting for a heavier connection.
Moreover, for those who have become enthusiastic, the price for the BP50 does not immediately put a damper on the revelry. After all, Ahlmann Nederland supplies the smallest BouwPower for €38,500 ex. Following the same recipe - obviously with ADR - there is also the BouwPower BP200 with 200 kWh of battery capacity and optional DC fast charging from €125,400 ex.
