Aboma strengthens position with acquisition of Alfa Bureau for Certification B.V. and Arbo Advies Ruigewaard B.V.

As of February 1, Aboma will acquire the shares of Alfa Bureau voor Certificering B.V. and Arbo Advies Ruigewaard B.V. Both companies, falling under one holding structure, are active in certification and occupational health and safety advice, respectively, within the GWW industry, especially in the field of working with contaminated soil.

With this strategic acquisition, Aboma strengthens its position as a certification body. In addition, the acquisition brings with it an expansion of consultancy services within the GWW industry. This contributes to Aboma's ambition to be the partner of choice for its customers in improving and securing healthy and safe working conditions, quality and the environment.

On Jan. 31, Jeroen Lammertse, general manager of Aboma, and Klaas Ruigewaard, director/owner of Alfa Certificering en Arbo Advies Ruigewaard, signed the contract. The goal is to eventually fully integrate both companies within Aboma.

Klaas Ruigewaard: "With the acquisition, the continuity of our activities is guaranteed for the future. For 60 years, Aboma has been a leader in equipment testing, inspection and valuation and in guidance on occupational health and safety policies in construction companies. Aboma is also active in certification of quality and safety systems.
