Add value through equipment
An agile and versatile asset, it digs a cunet or construction pit just as easily as it sets a tire line for paving, thanks to its adjustable boom.

Providing added value through equipment

In the dynamic world of construction and demolition, efficiency, reliability and innovation are crucial for success. Visser Hoogeloon B.V. from Eersel understands this well and therefore invests heavily in the deployment of Develon (formerly known as Doosan) equipment. In this article, we highlight how these advanced machines play a key role in daily operations.

Visser Hoogeloon's new DX140W-7 is running for an extended period of time on a new construction project in Duizel, which is being prepared for housing.

The company was founded by Ben and Lian Visser, who started in 1998 with the rental of one mini excavator. As time went on, more and more machines were added and more jobs were also taken on themselves, such as installing lampposts, small earth moving or demolition work. In 2013, Wintermans Bestratingen from Eersel was taken over and after the move in 2017 to new premises in Eersel, further expansion of activities followed with an environmental branch and a soil bank. Over the years, Visser Hoogeloon has thus grown into a versatile company with nearly sixty employees. At the helm are brothers Joris, Jan and Rob Visser, who have been involved since childhood and have gradually taken over from their parents since 2022.

Unique installation

The Brabant family business presents itself as an all-round service provider within the GWW sector. Besides ground, infra and demolition work (including renovation demolition), the Visser Milieu division is responsible for asbestos, soil and groundwater remediation. It even invested in a unique unit to purify groundwater contaminated with PFAS. In addition to a mobile crusher for demolition debris, the machine and vehicle fleet consists of four tracked excavators from 26 to 52 tons, four mobile excavators, eight mini excavators, four wheel loaders, several skid steer loaders, sand trucks, container trucks and a squeeze truck. Visser Hoogeloon has several machines from Doosan/Develon, which are ideal for heavy construction or demolition applications due to their power, robustness, reliability and versatility.

The latest addition is a 14-ton DX140W-7, which was put into service in January and has now completed roughly 900 hours of operation. The mobile excavator is equipped with a DL06 Stage V diesel engine, which is good for an output of 102 kW/137 hp. In addition to the generous standard equipment, the following options were chosen: engcon EC219 tiltrotator with integrated gripper, Trimble Earthworks GPS, BMair overpressure, Wiejelo automatic grease lubrication, reversible drawbar in dozer blade, Nokian Ground Kare tires and powder-coated steel fenders. Joris: "In all respects it is a very all-round machine, which thanks to the 3-piece boom is versatile to use on our works. Operator Thijn is very pleased with the smooth operation, comfort in the cab and good visibility."

Focus on sustainable

The relationship between Visser Hoogeloon and their Develon dealer dates back to 2019, when a Doosan DX10z mini excavator and a used DL420-3 wheel loader were delivered in quick succession. They invested in a DX140W-5 in 2021 and a 26-ton DX255LC-7 crawler excavator early last year. Notable here is the focus on sustainability. Visser Hoogeloon strives to minimize its ecological footprint and therefore chooses machines that are not only powerful and reliable, but also meet the strictest emission standards. The fact that the family business is taking this a step further is demonstrated by the fact that Joris Visser is already considering the purchase of its first fully electric mobile excavator, which will be delivered later this year.

Machinist Thijn van Gestel raves about the comfortable cab and smooth operation.

It underscores their commitment to innovation, quality and carbon reduction. "As a company, we like to contribute to sustainability, whether it's greening the equipment fleet, reusing materials during demolition or remediating soil and groundwater." By providing support in all areas from a single point of contact, Visser Hoogeloon can distinguish itself as an added value. "We also look for that little bit extra from our suppliers, hence the choice of Develon," says Joris. "The organization stands behind the product and if something happens, a solution is quickly found. Furthermore, the good price/quality ratio is an important factor and the fact that the models are constantly being further developed based on the wishes of operators."
