With the slogan "Quality changing the world," Sany leaves no doubt that quality and reliability are the basis for following the lead of home market China and now conquering the world. One thing is certain: the crawler cranes are so far well received by Dutch contractors, crane rental companies and foundation companies.
Sany Cranes.Services in Sassenheim is the official dealer of Sany cranes in the Benelux. The organization boasts a wealth of experience, making it a trusted address for sales, rental, service & maintenance, advice or spare parts supply. Since the market introduction of the new generation of Sany crawler cranes, dozens of customers have (re)discovered this Chinese brand. The range is therefore very diverse and includes lattice boom and telescopic cranes equipped with both modern Stage V diesel engines and battery-electric powered models for emission-free operation.
In the field of zero emission, not a month goes by without another special scoop to report. For example, the first 100-ton telerup SCE 1000 TB-EV in Europe was recently delivered to Van Santen Groep in Haarlem. The crane has an LFP battery pack of 282 kWh, which enables it to run for 8 to 10 hours without any problems. By connecting the 100-ton crane directly to the power grid via a plug-in in the undercarriage, it is possible to recharge in between jobs. AC and DC charging ports can be found in the superstructure. The synchronous telescopic boom of 49.9 meters can be extended with a folding jib of 17.5 meters.
With the electric crane, Sany Cranes.Services is meeting an increasing demand among clients for 100% sustainable solutions in the construction industry. The ZE range currently includes six models, which come ex-factory with CE approval and full warranty. In a nutshell: 50-, 80-, 100- and 150-ton crawler cranes and 100- and 135-ton lattice boom. A 200-ton crawler crane with lattice boom is planned for early 2025. As the latest addition, the 150-ton SCE 1500 TB-EV has arrived in Sassenheim. The world's first emission-free cultivator in this segment features 360 kWh of battery capacity.
The Dutch premiere of Sany's first SCE 500 TB-EV, the smallest deliverable electric teler crane, is reserved for Gebr. van 't Hek. To make its equipment fleet considerably greener, this foundation specialist has purchased several Sany cranes, both diesel- and electrically powered. The 50-tonner is currently being prepared for operation in the workshop. Recently, Gebr. van 't Hek already took into use as its third electric Sany a 100-ton SCE 1000 A-EV with lattice boom. In addition, the company from Zuidoostbeemster also has two 80-tonners with telescopic boom (SCE 800 TB-EV).
Incidentally, the first SCE 1000 A-EV in our country was delivered early this year by Sany Cranes.Services to Sterk BV on an emission-free project in Arnhem. The battery pack in the superstructure has a capacity of 282 kWh, as in the version with extendable mast, and can be recharged directly via a 16-32-63A construction power connection. DC charging can be done at speeds of up to 240 kW (2x 120 kW), with the batteries fully recharged in roughly 2 hours. Sterk previously commissioned an SCE 800 TB-EV for sheet piling projects.
In total, Sany Cranes.Services has sold fifteen electric crawler cranes within two years, and there are currently a few more in the pen. Following in the footsteps of foundation companies, Roland Quarré notices that there is now increasing interest from crane rental companies as well. "We are extremely proud that the Netherlands has once again embraced Sany crawler cranes. We have become the market leader in the Netherlands out of nowhere, while buyers in this segment do not usually take any chances. That is quite unique. Especially the emission-free versions are very popular, because of the factory warranty combined with our unique service."
