What does the equipment fleet of the future look like? It's one of the many questions that will be addressed during Infra Relatiedagen 2022, which will be held at Evenementenhal Hardenberg from Tuesday 29 to Thursday 31 March. "We yearn to see each other live again," says head of sales Oene La Gro of Easyfairs. "We are providing a fantastic edition with the latest equipment and lots of networking opportunities. We can tell from everything that the sector is craving it again. Our expectations are high."
The seven halls of the complex are packed. La Gro: "It promises to be a wonderful program that will surprise visitors. All the major brands are represented. We have more than 330 exhibitors in the halls. With a range of activities every day. A striking feature is Hall 7 containing the Equipment Park of the Future. Visitors will find everything in the field of emission-free equipment there, ranging from sweepers to charging stations and battery trucks. All leading suppliers are present. "
Part of the hall was transformed into one large track with the Machinists' Café in the middle, where, as the name suggests, machinists explain electrified equipment. One of the participants in Hall 7 is Infra Equipment, which is presenting the first switched battery vibratory plate in the Netherlands. "And not without pride," says Wilant Bakkenes. He is responsible for new business development at Infra Equipment. " Because the motor is emission-free, the machine can be used in poorly ventilated areas as well as in tunnels, says Bakkenes. The Swepac FB 200B and FB 300B works like an "ordinary" vibratory plate, but offers less hand-arm vibration and makes less noise. The battery is good for two hours of continuous use; charging time is about four hours.

For Bakkenes, it is not a choice: "Everything has to be electric. From the construction site the pressure will increase to work emission-free, because that will soon be enforced. We are already sorting for that, for example with the battery vibratory plate, but also with electric skid steer loaders."
Oene La Gro: "The development is clear. An enormous amount is happening in that area. You will see that on the entire show floor, and especially in Hall 7, where the first electric sweeper truck is also on display. It's one of the many innovations on the show floor."
How do you test your knowledge and learn new things? That too is taken care of at the Infra Relatiedagen. Visitors will find the knowledge café in Hall 6 where InfraCampus-IKN is drawing for the Pubquiz. 'How many homes can you heat with Thermal Energy from Surface Water?' The questions roll right out. Gerrit Hasperhoven, in daily life consultant sewerage and urban water and chairman of InfraCampus-IKN, is the presenter of the Pubquiz at Infra Relatiedagen 2022. For three days, twice a day, he will fire 25 questions at participants in the Knowledge Café. In half an hour he guides visitors along the big themes of the moment. Incidentally, InfraCampus-IKN itself is also present at the IKN Square with a number of participating companies.

On the first day of Infra Relatiedagen, special attention will be paid to the future generation that will be working in the infrastructure sector. Oene La Gro: "Especially for MBO and HBO students we organize a College tour. Twenty-five companies are taking part. Students will visit these 25 companies to complete an assignment. We especially want to show them how versatile the work in the Infra sector is. We want to help the students a step further, moreover we want to provide new recruits this way."
Infra Relatiedagen will be held from Tuesday 29 to Thursday 31 March in Evenementenhal Hardenberg. Over 330 exhibitors will participate in the fair. Infra Relatiedagen is organized around the themes of Hydraulic Engineering, Equipment & Machinery, Infra general and Road Construction & Contracting.
