The 1875 (!) family business has no shortage of knowledge and experience. For the realization of the new viaduct as part of the project Completion of the dual carriageway also main contractor Heijmans gratefully uses the services of Prins Transport and can count on 24/7 support.
Prins Transport has been involved in the prestigious project across the A4 since the very beginning. "We have assisted in the construction of the work site with the supply of containers and construction huts from other locations," says Johan Prins. "In addition, we are responsible for the delivery and laying of road plates and draglines. In fact, among other things, we take care of the complete logistics of Woud BV, one of the players in the rental of road plates and dragline bulkheads in the Netherlands divided between the branches in North Holland and Brabant. With our remote-controlled trucks with truck-mounted crane, we can lay out the road plates and/or dragline bulkheads quickly and efficiently in one move. The driver can also operate the truck from the crane. In this we are fairly unique in the Netherlands."
"During execution, we are basically the extension of Heijmans' executives," Prins continues. "We are called in for all kinds of hands-on services, such as driving formwork material, reinforcement or a combination of both, whether or not in the evenings, nights or weekends. Thanks to our years of knowledge and experience and especially our very extensive expertise in construction and infrastructure, we often manage to achieve logistical optimizations. Especially in complex environments this is an advantage, as here also at Schiphol Airport where we have to take into account stakeholders, including not only the airport but also the Department of Public Works. We are in possession of all the necessary permits or know how to apply to municipalities, provinces or the State. The fact that we have been active in construction and infrastructure for so long means that some of our equipment is also adapted to it. For example, we have a box truck with a heavy-duty truck-mounted crane in order to be completely self-sufficient up to certain weights and to spare a telescopic crane. In this case, the formwork material for the pillars is prepared completely with reinforcement baskets prefabricated at the work site. We load them with our heavy truck-mounted crane (115 tons/meter) and transport them to the unloading site. That saves an awful lot of time and unnecessary transport movements."
"The most efficient logistics process possible is what we relieve our clients of," Prins summarizes. "And we have been doing that for more than 140 years at home and abroad with qualified personnel. The driver and his truck form a special duo that can handle any exceptional job."
