As the bridge or road surface ages a bit, dirt and green deposits can cause it to become slippery in wet conditions. This can cause people to slip, which of course no one wants.
Triflex has developed a special system for bridges and walkways, among others, to ensure that these parts of the infrastructure remain safe and anti-slip. This system is called the Triflex WAS system and is a coating that ensures its wear resistance and anti-slip through careful construction of the system. The system is suitable for existing and new wooden, concrete or even steel decks.
There are different variants of the Triflex WAS system, for example, variant one, variant three or variant five. These numbers represent the grain size there is in the resin. The larger the grain size, the better the bridge or walkway is made anti-slip. In variant five, the grains are as much as 5 millimeters thick. Such a thick grain makes slipping and slipping almost impossible.
Because of its wear resistance and skid resistance, our Triflex WAS system is not only used on bridges and walkways, but also in situations with (bicycle) traffic, on (subway) platforms and on road surfaces. Besides the choice of grain size, there is also a wide choice in terms of color and possible markings. The optimal choice for a project depends on the expected pollution, the desired color and the required roughness of the surface.
