Stackable fiberglass dowel racks: durable convenience during any job

With the exclusive sale of fiberglass dowels and tie rods last year, Fiber Dowels experienced a flying start within the road construction industry. Thanks in part to a significantly lower weight, greater tensile strength and longer life, the revolutionary products are a great alternative to the steel versions (still) considered commonplace. Through the recent development of stackable dowel racks also made of fiberglass, Fiber Dowels is once again taking new steps forward. The product represents both an equally logical and welcome expansion of the product range. It also confirms the Bladel-based company's pioneering spirit based on sustainability.

Enthusiasm rightly prevails when director/owner Tom Roos talks about the new product that comes straight from the kitchen of Fiber Dowels, founded in 2019. With the introduction of fiberglass composite dowel racks, the company is once again knocking on the gate behind which traditionally steel-engineered dowels, tie rods and dowel racks enjoy exclusivity. "Within the RAW contracting system, such products dominate," says Roos. "Variants of fiberglass you don't see in them. Parallel to the sale of our products, our arrows are therefore fully focused on bringing these novelties into the limelight as a full, better and, above all, more sustainable alternative."

Unique product

Like the previously launched fiberglass dowels and tie rods, Fiber Dowels' brand-new dowel racks excel in cleverness and user-friendliness. Advantages that translate one-to-one into greater efficiency and significant cost savings during the installation of concrete pavements. "First of all, our dowel racks are available in any height and for any dowel diameter and length," said Roos. "That alone makes them unique worldwide. Furthermore, the racks can be supplied both without and with dowels. In the latter case, each dowel is already connected to a bioplastic (PLA, ed.) coupler, a component manufactured in our factory using 3D printers from potato and corn starch. But even if you choose to make the components
delivered separately, convenience is paramount. You click the dowel into the coupler quickly and easily and you're good to go." Another plus point concerns the stackability of the dowel racks. This makes it possible to bring enough dowels to the project without using large equipment. "You can easily transport 1,000 linear meters of dowel on a small trailer," Roos explains. "That fact, too, underscores the value of this wonderful product."
