BIA Benelux offers customized rental solution through MATRENT

Customization of earth movers, screens and crushers

For years, BIA has been supplying high-quality earthmoving, demolition, transfer or recycling machines and generator sets in the Benelux. BIA is also particularly active on the rental market. For example, its own rental branch MATRENT has offered a rental fleet of modern machines for the construction industry since 2011. "We profile ourselves as a reliable and quality partner for professional customers," says Florent Chardon, head of the MATRENT division.

BIA Benelux is part of the BIA Group. Besides selling and renting equipment, BIA offers a total solution tailored to the customer with financing, parts supply, maintenance and a 24/7 breakdown service. The MATRENT rental platform has a fleet of over one hundred earthmoving machines from 12 to 50 tons, mobile screens and crushers. Immediately available machines for rent from 1 day to several years. Always recent equipment (less than 2 years old), strictly maintained and inspected between each rental. But also measurable and transparent costs, on-site technical assistance, various pieces of equipment and accessories, organization of transport and presence anywhere in the Netherlands and Belgium. These are, in short, the main assets MATRENT has to offer.

Rental offers flexibility

Florent Chardon: "MATRENT is a very important part within the bigger story of BIA Group. Renting equipment allows us to meet an ever-increasing customer demand. Customers who are hesitant to proceed with purchasing a machine can turn to MATRENT to rent equipment. This can be for a few days or weeks, but also for months or even years. That flexibility of solutions for both short and long term is very important to clients. After a rental period, the customer of course always has the option to purchase the machine."

While BIA focuses on machines from 1 to 100 tons for equipment sales, MATRENT deliberately takes a different approach. "With MATRENT, we don't get into the business of BIA and its partners as far as equipment for utility construction is concerned," Chardon says. "That's why MATRENT focuses on renting machines, heavier than 10 tons, for residential construction, earth moving and road construction. Within those sectors, we rent a very diverse range from crawler excavators and wheel loaders to bulldozers and all kinds of dumpers."

Innovative technology

MATRENT invariably rents the latest machines with the most modern technologies. Chardon: "Our rental equipment is never older than 2 years. So we always keep our finger on the pulse in terms of the latest technology. We also prove that we are strongly committed to innovative technology by renting intelligent iMC machines from Komatsu, with a built-in GPS system. This exclusive, advanced technology is available for our D51PXi and D61PXi bulldozers and the PC210LCi crawler excavator."

 MATRENT also provides the necessary guidance, with operator training and user support. "We also give advice on how to use the machine. The fact that we have the necessary know-how internally is certainly one of our strengths," it sounds resolute. MATRENT is also at home in Komatsu's hybrid technology. Here, the slewing motor/generator absorbs energy when the superstructure brakes. The reclaimed energy is stored in the battery and is used by the generator/engine to provide form power to the internal combustion engine as the engine speed accelerates.

Mobile sieves and crushers

Also in MATRENT's range: recycling machines. "Then we are talking about mobile screening and crushing plants. Here, too, we offer free commissioning. We come and install the machine on site, give advice and make the installation ready for use for the right product. Completely customized for the customer. With Metso and Portafill we distribute two very renowned brands of screening and crushing plants. Our customers can be sure of having the best machines, whatever the application: construction, earthmoving, civil engineering, industrial transshipment, recycling, port activities, quarries...
