In 2020 Gebroeders Geens launched their electric Knikmops KM 140 E. 2023 was the year of the first electric Rollmops RM 50 E and the Knikmops in a larger size, the Knikmops KM 180 E. In December, at Agribex 2023, Gebroeders Geens presented the Knikmops KM 180 E with telescopic arm. Another step closer to electrifying the entire Knikmops range. So the end customer can truly relieve himself of manual labor, and this time without emissions.
In the development of every electric Knikmops to date, the goal has been to be able to work one day with one charge. For the Knikmops KM 180 E, development was more difficult because this articulated loader also has to be able to move more hydraulics than the Knikmops KM 140 E. In addition, this Knikmops weighs about 200 kilograms more. Nevertheless, Gebroeders Geens succeeded in making this Knikmops work for a day with their economical drive with two battery types. Depending on the load, the Knikmops user has two options.
With the 20 kWh battery, the Knikmops KM 180 E can work about 4 hours continuously, with the 30 kWh battery about 7 hours. So depending on the needs of the end customer, the wheel loader can be equipped with a large or small battery pack. Different chargers are also possible, allowing charging at 220 volts as well as at a quick charger of 380 volts. This allows Gebroeders Geens to fully equip the electric Knikmops according to the customer's specific wishes.
It soon became clear that Knikmops customers know the way to Gebroeders Geens with their requirements. Thus, immediately after the development of the Knikmops KM 180 E,
the demand for a telescoping arm to the electric Knikmops loader. Gebroeders Geens went back to the development table and in December 2023 they made the very first electric Knikmops with telescopic arm, the Knikmops KM 180 E TE. Like all electric Knikmops, this one is equipped with Gebroeders Geens' economical hydraulic-electric system, allowing for a day's work. Moreover, this customer had some additional wishes and the Knikmops also came with a cabin. This was also the first electric Knikmops telescope with a cabin, equipped with air conditioning, heating, radio and seat heating. No lack of luxury!
Still, with all these luxuries, the Knikmops KM 180 E and the KM 180 E TE remain transportable on a trailer. Both articulated loaders come in at around 2 tons with the battery pack, but this remains an achievable weight for most BE drivers.
There has been a subsidy scheme in place in the Netherlands for some time now, encouraging the purchase of emission-free construction machinery. At most, entrepreneurs can count on a subsidy amount of 300,000 euros. The calculation is made on the additional cost of the electric Knikmops compared to a diesel-powered version. Depending on the company size, the company gets back 25% to 30%.
For the Knikmops user in the Netherlands, a strong local network is provided, where the customer can purchase his Knikmops and have it serviced. In the north of the Netherlands (Hattem) Veluwenkamp, with years of experience, represents the Knikmops brand. Centrally in the Netherlands, the customer can count on the Nederlandse Machine Maatschappij. From Waardenburg, they can help a large part of the Netherlands in their search for the most suitable Knikmops. They are also happy to help you with your subsidy application.
