BUKO Waakt, the specialist in temporary security solutions such as camera surveillance, intrusion protection and access control, is widely used for monitoring and securing various construction projects. "Diverse in the broadest sense of the word," says Bob Honout, who has been involved with BUKO Waakt since day one. "Today, for example, our solutions are also used for water works, such as temporary pumping installations during high water."
It hasn't escaped anyone's notice: The Netherlands once again had to deal with substantial high water levels, with all the associated risks. Temporary pumping stations were placed in several places to prevent flooding. Roads were also temporarily closed here and there because the road was not passable or precisely because the water had to be drained via that route. "And then we are there to monitor those temporary pumping installations and/or roads, because unfortunately there is quite often sabotage or theft." Bob notes that clients increasingly want to have a camera system installed on a project as a preventive measure. "A good thing," he thinks. "Not first waiting for something to go wrong, but rather preventing it with our solutions."

BUKO Waakt truly offers a total concept for any construction project. From installing camera systems to interfacing with control rooms, developing security systems and even providing solar towers in places where there is no power supply. "And we do it quickly and everywhere," Bob adds. "BUKO Waakt has national coverage and whatever temporary security solution is needed, we can have it operational within 12 hours because we also do the transportation and installation entirely in-house." In addition to all security measures, BUKO Waakt also provides solutions for temporary access control (turnstile or sign-in/out kiosk). This registers who is (has been) on the construction site at what time. Not only useful in case of possible evacuations, but also very important in the chain of liability.

Using live-view, the police control room in cooperation with mobile surveillance can intervene directly at the secure location. "In addition, we are also developing the BUKO Waakt app. This will also give our customers real-time insight into the images at the secured location and allow them to directly manage matters themselves, such as the deviating working hours. We will soon be introducing the first version of our app to our customers," says Bob, emphasizing that in the meantime, BUKO Waakt is vigorously pursuing its growth ambitions. "We like to excel in quality, decisiveness, service and cooperation."
"Because we do what we are good at, contractors, entrepreneurs and other companies in the GWW using our services can do what they are good at and complete the work well biin cost and time. Meanwhile, we make sure the project is safe when they are not there."
