Success at Conexpo - Engcon continues its conquest of North America

World leading manufacturer of swivel tilt pieces Engcon looks back with great satisfaction on Conexpo 2020 in Las Vegas, the largest event in the construction equipment industry this year. The group was represented all over the exhibition area; Engcon's were on display in stands of various machine manufacturers and products were demonstrated live by some of the best-known excavator operators. This strong presentation ensured that visitors were left with an overwhelming impression and made the trade fair participation a great success. Engcon is now ready for further conquest of the North American market.  

From March 10 to 13, Conexpo 2020 opened its doors in Las Vegas. This triennial exhibition is one of the world's leading and largest events in the construction equipment industry, with an average attendance of more than 130,000. Engcon, global market leader in the field of turntables, has been represented several times at Conexpo, but this edition is credited as the best in its participation history due to high visitor numbers and interest at the booth.

"We are extremely satisfied with the Conexpo of this year. Before coming here, we obviously knew there was interest in our products, but not to this extent. The efforts to present our total solutions and their benefits led to particularly good reactions. We also noticed that knowledge among visitors is now significantly greater than before. This is particularly positive with a view to working on the North American market." says Krister Blomgren, general manager of Engcon.

Test drive appreciated by visitors  

As in previous years, Engcon displayed its swivel tilt attachments, the safe Q-Safe quick coupler and the EC-Oil automatic quick coupler system through continuous live demonstrations in a machine driven by its own demo operators. New for this year's Conexpo was that visitors were given the opportunity to test for themselves how Engcon's turntable and attachments work. On two test machines, visitors were able to try out an Engcon. This was particularly appreciated and drew many people to the booth.

"We spent extra time on interaction this time, with extremely positive results. The opportunity to test our products was very much appreciated, the visiting excavator operators told us. You don't need much time in the cab to find out how flexible, convenient and safe you can work with a swivel", said Anders Smith, regional director at Engcon.

Engcon's turntables and attachments were shown and demonstrated not only at Engcon's own booth, but also at the booths of other machine manufacturers. For example, visitors could see Engcon-equipped excavators at the stands of Doosan, Hyundai, John Deere and Kobelco.

"The increased interest from machine manufacturers clearly indicates that our products are becoming a natural part of the excavator to an increasing extent." continues Anders Smith.

More than enough opportunities for Engcon

Thanks to the continuous flow of contractors and machinists who wanted to test a rotary attachment during the show and the many new contacts gained, Engcon looks forward to working the North American market with confidence.

"The market potential is enormous and we see good opportunities for steady growth over the next few years. The market is ripe for it and with our sales office in North Haven, Connecticut, we can offer potential customers the service and support they need", Anders Smith said.
