VACANCY: Senior Project Manager Civil Engineering.

The team Interior and Management of Public Space (IBOR) consists of the departments Roads and Traffic, Water and Sewerage, Green, Play and Landscape, Soil and Subsoil and Projects and gives substance to the design and management of an attractive residential, working and living environment in the municipality of Rheden.

Your influence

As senior project manager you are the first point of contact for the IBOR team manager, employees of the Projects department and the (policy) staff of other departments. You are responsible for the division of tasks, planning and progress of the activities of the Projects department. You set priorities and solve bottlenecks or encourage colleagues to solve bottlenecks themselves. You have an eye for administrative commitments and monitor their fulfilment and implementation and advise the team manager.

Further:

• You are responsible for delivering the agreed upon project deliverables within the specified constraints (GOTIK).
• Also provide execution supervision through the "Direction UAV" and on this basis direct the contractor in the execution of the work.
• Lead the project team and maintain (pro)active contact with the client.
• Map the required people and resources and jointly prepare the project plan with the project team.
• Provide team spirit, coaching and support to team members.
• Conduct organization-wide consultations and negotiations with representatives of internal and external stakeholders.
• Address issues P-wise, evaluate projects and contribute to the further professionalization of project work within our municipality.
• Connect and establish links with the other organizational units where necessary to establish and secure integrality.
• Connect residents, businesses and institutions to our municipality as a point of contact to give substance to our motto of "hospitality."

Your background

As a senior project manager, you are a solid personality with good analytical skills and you make a difference. You bring internal and external parties together and work purposefully. You do this by proactively investigating wishes and needs and acting accordingly. As a person you are decisive and create support for this, both inside and outside the organization.

Further:

• Do you have HBO working and thinking level and a completed degree in civil engineering.
• Have at least five years of experience in a similar position in local government. Affinity with roads, drainage, public green space and water.
• Do you have experience with integral and project-based (collaborative) work.

• A salary of up to €5,021 gross based on 36 hours (job scale 10A).
• An individual choice budget of 17.05% on top of your gross salary.

• A commuting allowance (max. 60 km per day) and/or home office allowance (€2 per day).
• A home office budget of €550 for setting up your home office.
• Hybrid working: at our temporary location in Velp or from home.
• We are expected to move to a beautiful and sustainable new town hall in De Steeg on the border of the IJssel and the Veluwe in 2024. Partly constructed and furnished with area-specific materials.
• The chance to have your lunch break or an appointment in the most beautiful and varied surroundings of the Netherlands with the Veluwezoom and the Posbank.
• One-year contract with the intention of converting to a permanent contract thereafter.
