The potential of greenery
At the start of infrastructure projects, technical objectives are formulated that underlie the project. However, this momentum also lends itself well to thinking about how the city, road or planning area can be made more climate-adaptive, biodiverse and healthy. It is precisely by linking green opportunities together that big steps with great impact can be taken and together we build a healthy living environment.
It is therefore important to properly include greenery, landscape, trees and ecology from the initial planning to the final realization and management phases. idverde NL knows the potential of greenery and has all the expertise to contribute and monitor during the entire project. From the first investigations into ecological values and the quality of existing trees to the realization and management of new biotopes and a green or tree structure that really contributes.
What is special is that we have been working for years to improve our impact. A green picture on the project website is nice, but if we really invest in green solutions, of course we have to ensure demonstrable results. And so we measure the development of biodiversity by monitoring vegetation and/or specific species groups, study the vitality and development of the trees in the project area to calculate how much particulate matter is captured and how much carbon is stored in the tree.
With the data and knowledge we collect in this way, our projects naturally become ever better and more impactful. For nature, the users of today and the next generations and our society.
