Engcon increases presence in Belgium

- attended Matexpo and appointed an Area Sales Manager responsible for Belgium

The use of Engcon products has been a Scandinavian phenomenon from the beginning, but for some time now more and more markets around the world have been buying Engcon's products to make excavation work faster, safer, more efficient and more profitable. This year Engcon is increasing its presence in Belgium, including participating in Matexpo and hiring an Area Sales Manager.

Engcon, world-leading manufacturer of turntables, attended Matexpo, an international exhibition of machinery and equipment for construction, industry and the environment, from September 11 -15, 2019. This was an important step in its conquest of the Belgian market.

"The Matexpo is of strategic importance to showcase Engcon's products on the Belgian market and to point out the benefits of using them. The turntable, which is like the wrist of the excavator, is not very well known here yet, so it is important to meet end users here, answer questions and show our products," says Nicky De Vries, Sales Director in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Matexpo at Kortrijk Xpo (in the west of Belgium) is one of the important machine fairs in Europe, with 360 exhibitors and more than 40,000 visitors. An important forum for meetings with partners and end users.

"We know from experience that the best way to introduce our company to a new market is to show how our products work. We are extremely satisfied with our participation at Matexpo, where we received a lot of interest in our Engcon products and we gained valuable new contacts," said Nicky de Vries.

Today Engcon is represented in eight European countries: Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany, France, Great Britain and the Netherlands. Engcon continues to expand worldwide, and Europe in particular is experiencing strong growth. Valuable customer contact is an important prerequisite for that growth. That is why Alain Gerlach has been appointed as sales manager and contact person for the local Belgian market.

"With a dedicated Area Sales Manager for Belgium, we have the opportunity to expand our share of the market, and we can now serve our customers in Belgium even better. We are therefore delighted to have Alain in this position," said Nicky De Vries.
