The machinery of Sloopwerken Limburg has recently been expanded with a Doosan DX300LC-7 crawler excavator. A very complete machine with numerous additional options. Not only because of its multifunctional use, but especially to promote the comfort of the operator. An interview with director Peter Wolter of Sloopwerken Limburg about the first experiences.
Sloopwerken Limburg is a young company but with an awful lot of experience. Peter has been active in his father's family business since childhood and started his own company five years ago. "We are mainly active in total demolition, renovation demolition and asbestos remediation and also provide assistance to government services such as the fire department and police," Peter says. The latter should be seen as an emergency service when dangerous situations arise. We are therefore available to our customers 24/7."
Sloopwerken Limburg's machinery fleet is growing with the years. "We have been operating since 2017 and now have several machines, including a young used Doosan DX85R-3 midi-excavator that we added to our fleet last year. Since February this year, we have added the Doosan DX300LC-7 crawler excavator. Given our portfolio of clients, we are increasingly involved in larger projects. We attach great value to the upgrading and reuse of materials, circular demolition. Modern equipment is indispensable in this. The DX300LC-7 is truly a powerhouse with which we can tackle virtually any job. For example, we will soon start the demolition of 120 apartments. Then this machine will come in handy."
The choice of Doosan was not difficult for Peter. "From the past, we have many good experiences with the 300 series. We are familiar with it. And on top of that, our Doosan dealer was able to deliver the machine relatively quickly." Peter did "tick off" the necessary options, however. As standard, the machine has an extra-long reach of up to 17.5 meters and is equipped with a weighted boom, curved armor glass, a bar rack on the front and top window, a Wiejelo Equipment central grease lubrication system and a Freshfilter overpressure system for the cab. Finally, a stainless steel clog support and full-side running board enhance operator comfort.
Peter praises the initial experience with the new crawler excavator. "It is a versatile machine that is very intuitive to operate," he says. He is also extremely satisfied with the contact with the Doosan dealer. "They previously helped guide the purchase of the DX85R-3 and that went smoothly. Moreover, we know from the past that the service equipment is good and that gives confidence, important for the quality we strive for our customers and the continuity of our company." In fact, Peter's eldest son is slowly making his entry into the company and learning the ropes on various fronts so that he can take over later.
