Sustainability ambitions in GWW are flying around your ears

Young organization bringing together years of experience offers training as strong foundation to get started with sustainability

Sustainability within the GWW plays an increasingly important role. But what exactly is sustainability? And what does it mean for GWW? What is needed to make the GWW more sustainable and what is your specific impact on this? Questions to which you will get answers in the course Sustainability in Civil Engineering from Brave & Boost. This young organization combines years of experience in training from Brave Decisions with the knowledge and expertise of tenders and sustainability in construction from We-Boost.

Joining forces

Founded in February 2021, Brave & Boost specializes in training, tender support and organizational development with the goal: a sustainable, innovative and efficient built environment. Sjoerd van Loon, trainer and business developer at Brave & Boost: “We are a young company bringing together years of experience from both organizations. Brave Decisions brings with it 17 years of training experience for technical and business professionals in communication and commerce, particularly focused on companies in the construction and engineering industries. We-Boost has been active in construction tendering since 2015 and brings knowledge and expertise in sustainability, data and GWW innovations. With Brave & Boost we combine the best of these two companies and assist companies and (semi-)governments in construction and engineering through training, tender support and organizational development.”

Challenges in theGWW sector

Sjoerd explains that Brave & Boost develops training courses based on needs, trends, desires and activities in the GWW sector. “Such as the one-day training course Sustainability in the GWW. Clients demand more than just price and weigh solutions in the areas of sustainability, innovation management and environmental management in their tenders. Sustainability, in particular, is getting an increasing role in tenders. However, for many companies-both clients and contractors-sustainability is a new theme. Offering concrete sustainability measures and MKI or CO2 calculations can therefore be a challenge. The Sustainability in GWW training responds to this trend and gives clients and contractors practical tools to apply immediately. In addition to what the laws and regulations impose, the training focuses primarily on intrinsic motivation of participants individually and of organizations as a whole. Moreover, the training courses are intended to inspire each other,” says Sjoerd and concludes, “We are even currently developing a three-day training course on Sustainability in the GWW, given the enormous demand for this topic.”
