Boels Rental, one of Europe's largest machine rental and specialty rental companies, has acquired Eekels Pumps as of January 1. The acquisition offers both parties opportunities for further expansion. And to serve the international clientele even better with the existing pump expertise.
Founded in 1914, Eekels Pompen is considered the specialist for pump rentals and temporary pump installations. From branches in Ridderkerk, Geleen and Zwolle, the market leader in the Benelux supplies temporary pump installations. Whether in GWW, industry, marine or government: every situation requires a different pump. "With over 1,000 pumps, 100 different pump types and 25 kilometers of piping, Eekels Pompen is always able to provide a customized solution," says Lars Reehorst, director of Eekels Pompen. "Our specialists have extensive knowledge and experience and provide on-site advice. In short, say pump solutions, you say Eekels."
The acquisition of Eekels Pompen, which will otherwise continue to operate under its own name, means a new addition to Boels' already extensive total package. In addition to General Rental, the rental giant started Special Rental about 10 years ago, a discipline that includes Industrial, Site Accommodation, Site Security and Power & HVAC. "Now that Eekels Pumps is part of Boels, the Pumps product group can also be added to that total package," Reehorst said happily. "The takeover perfectly matches the wishes of our customers when it comes to a wide range, perfect service and specialist know-how."
